At SASH, we are proud to have a caring and dedicated Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation team, including Sports Medicine specialists, physiotherapists and experienced rehabilitation therapists supporting pets and their families to live their best lives! We are now currently looking for an Animal Rehabilitation Therapist based out of our Central Coast hospital, with the option to work across other sites as preferrable. In this full-time role (four or five-day roster), you’ll help animals recovering from injury, surgery, or chronic conditions by improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing their quality of life. An opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with all services across the hospital and working closely with sports medicine specialists, surgeons in a supportive team environment. Assessments of musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and neurological veterinary patients Planning and implementation of rehabilitation programs and techniques such as massage, hydrotherapy, therapeutic exercise and a range of modalities. Giving advice on changes to assistive devices and environmental modifications to facilitate function Who are we looking for? Have completed a qualification in Veterinary Rehabilitation. If you are part way through your qualification and are yet to finish, we’d still love to hear from you. Currently working or previously worked with Companion Animals providing rehabilitation services A good foundation in Maths and English Able to work as a part of a team or autonomously Ability to following directions precisely Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills Excellent observational skills What’s in it for you?
