Location - Canberra, ACT Security Clearance - Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance Length of Contract - 5 months Closing Date - 15th September 2025 Key responsibilities: Provide advice and support to procurement planning, tendering and contract formation, while ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures. Generate and review strategic and very complex contracting correspondence including providing high level advice in relation to commercially sensitive and technically complex reports, submissions, and other documents as required. Contribute own expertise to guide and mentor others on the very complex aspects of technical and commercial risk principles and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting activities within Defence. Demonstrate and apply the application of technical and commercial risk principles and performance management frameworks related to procurement and contracting activities within Defence. Work collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and lead strategies to address complex to very complex contracting issues. Evaluate and design mitigation strategies for the risks associated with very complex procurement and contracting activities, contract performance and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks. Design and implement innovative solutions, consulting as appropriate on very complex and strategic procurement contracting issues. Provide relevant subject matter expertise to support contract negotiations as required. Develop Offer Definition and Improvement Activities and negotiation strategies. Deliverables: Advice and guidance in support of procurement planning, tendering and contract formation and, ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures. Key project documents and artefacts to meet the standard and schedule as required. Provide a 'knowledge transfer' service component, drawing on skills and experience.
