Overview Treasury Trader role at Convera in Sydney. The Treasury Trader (aka Senior Treasury Analyst) assists with the management of the Company's day-to-day currency positions arising from its money transfer and business payments products. Responsibilities Managing Convera's FX risk by hedging client trade activity with our foreign exchange bank counterparties within prescribed interest rate and currency risk limits. Quoting FX prices across multiple products, and structuring option contracts for the Sales team. Completing operational functions including FX option, spot, swap, and forward deal execution; entering trade data into the Treasury risk management system; exotic currency booking and return processing. Managing daily and ad hoc reporting activities. This is a hybrid role, split between our modern Sydney CBD office (with water and city views) and working from home. Variable working hours are sometimes required to meet trading market availability. Qualifications Strong knowledge of financial markets and foreign exchange instruments, including FX forwards, and an understanding of complex option strategies. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with diverse currency exposures, requiring flawless execution, attention to detail, precise communication, and aptitude for operational processes. Strong analytical skillset, with interest or experience in data management and entry-level coding. Programming knowledge would be an advantage - VBA, Python, SQL. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Aptitude to formulate suggestions to address complicated financial risk scenarios. Strong financial modeling, Excel, and analytical skills. Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related subject is preferred but not essential; further education (e.g., MBA) is also considered.
