Security Clearance Required for this role: Must have a Negative Vetting 2 (NV2) security clearance Must be an Australian Citizen Mon to Fri - office hours Office locations in Sydney CBD and Canberra We’re seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and sustainment of hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure within the Warfighting Networks environment. What you’ll do Design and document end-to-end infrastructure and platform solutions across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments. Drive infrastructure-as-code (IaC), automation, and CI/CD pipelines . Support and enhance container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker). Provide expert architectural guidance on hybrid services, external integrations, and identity management . Assist with builds, defect remediation, and Level 3 escalations . Develop SOPs, build guides, and training for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure the sustainment and enhancement of Minerva ICT systems. What you’ll bring Proven experience designing and deploying hybrid cloud infrastructure and distributed systems. Expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP , with deep knowledge of IaC and automation tooling . Strong background in containerisation and orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker). Hands-on expertise with networking, VDI platforms, and endpoint security . Advanced knowledge of routing, BGP, MPLS, Segment Routing (SR-MPLS / SRv6), SDN solutions , and hybrid connectivity. Familiarity with identity management (LDAP, AD, SSO) and applying industry frameworks (TOGAF, test & evaluation standards).
