Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee facilities operations at a large healthcare site in Garran. In this client-facing role, you'll manage day-to-day facilities services, ensure compliance with strict standards, and drive a culture of safety and reliability. Reporting to the State Manager, you'll lead a small on-site team and engage directly with stakeholders to deliver seamless maintenance services in a high-pressure, highly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will be organised, communicative, and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities while building strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities - Oversee facilities and maintenance services in line with compliance, safety, and audit requirements. - Act as the primary contact for the client, managing urgent requests and escalations effectively. - Prepare and deliver reporting, including compliance and KPI tracking. - Supervise contractors and one direct report (Handyman), ensuring work quality and compliance. - Support minor projects, scoping, and contractor management. - Foster a safe, collaborative team culture and promote continuous improvement. Education, Experience & Skills Essential: - Trade qualification with 1-3 years in FM or maintenance management (all levels encouraged to apply - Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills. - Ability to manage high-pressure environments with competing priorities. - Experience in compliance, audit preparation, and reporting. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). - National Police Clearance. Desirable: - Experience in healthcare or high-compliance environments. - IWMS/CMMS systems experience. - Minor project management and contractor supervision.
