About The Role The Senior Case Worker provides advocacy, referrals, and support to Aboriginal individuals experiencing family violence, offering short to long-term casework. The role involves building strong relationships with both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal services to ensure coordinated support. Additionally, the position supports the Team Leader through data reporting, stakeholder engagement, triaging referrals, and mentoring students and new staff. About You The Senior Family Violence Case Manager delivers culturally safe, trauma-informed support to Aboriginal families impacted by family violence. The role includes managing complex cases, conducting assessments and safety planning, mentoring staff, and providing outreach and psychoeducation. It also involves accurate record-keeping, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of referrals and legal support to ensure holistic care. Requirements: Tertiary education in Social Work (or equivalent) in line with the mandatory minimum qualifications policy Minimum 3 Years’ Experience Sound knowledge of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, Information Sharing and Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Framework (MARAM) Valid Police Check, a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
