Job Description Qantas Loyalty is a high performing business and has a history of launching exciting new brands and services that make a difference to its millions of Frequent Flyer and Business Rewards members. Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards remain at the core of the program, while the business has evolved to include several new ventures and other businesses such as Qantas Money, Qantas Insurance and Qantas Hotels & Holidays. Responsibilities Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents. Manage programming task schedule updates and coordinate with multiple teams. Bug fixes and maintenance of existing systems deployed on cloud providers. Identify, analyse and correct issues in backend REST services (e.g., performance issues, downstream service failures). Deliver high quality, robust, secure and maintainable code. Discuss functional requirements directly with domain stakeholders and implement APIs to communicate these requirements. Build dashboards to monitor the health of a server and write automated tests that validate backend service functionality. Qualifications Proven experience in developing, deploying, debugging and testing backend cloud applications. Knowledge of at least one backend programming language (Kotlin / Java). Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust to different audiences. Attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset. Ability to learn and adapt to cross-functional requirements from various domains.
