Description and Requirements Job Responsibilities: Lead and manage the end-to-end testing process for dock products, including test planning, test case design, test execution, and defect management. Conduct functional testing to verify all dock features—such as data transfer, charging, video output, and network connectivity—perform as intended. Perform compatibility testing across various devices, operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), and software applications to ensure seamless integration. Evaluate user experience, focusing on ease of use, setup process, and overall satisfaction. Validate hardware interfaces and compliance with relevant specifications (e.g., HDMI, USB, Ethernet, DisplayPort) through physical and protocol verification. Identify potential issues related to reliability, hardware components, firmware, drivers, software interfaces, EMI, and EMS using both hardware and software testing expertise. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, product management, manufacturing) to provide test feedback and drive issue resolution. Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Mentor and guide junior test engineers to ensure consistent testing standards and practices. Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and testing methodologies related to dock products. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on testing experience with dock products or embedded systems, including knowledge of various dock types (e.g., USB-C, Thunderbolt). Strong background in both hardware testing (e.g., connectors, power supply, signal integrity) and software testing (e.g., firmware, drivers, OS compatibility). Experience in leading testing teams and managing test projects. Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams. Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies for hardware and software testing. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines. Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant field. Preferred: Experience with international certification testing for dock products. Preferred: Knowledge of agile testing methodologies. Preferred: Familiarity with programming languages for test automation.
