We are seeking to establish a pool of Education Assistant - Mainstream for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2026. The Role As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will ideally be passionate about working with students. You will assist in the delivery of planned education programs, under teacher direction. Suitable applicants should possess good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills to enable the implementation of individual or small group programs, as well as the ability to support the general health and well-being of students. You should be organised and be able to use your initiative to assist with the preparation and maintenance of the learning environment, while working collaboratively in a team environment. Ideally, you will possess a broad range of skills and strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students. You will ideally have experience and the ability to communicate and build relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community. You should possess the knowledge, experience and ability to support student growth, both academically and socially, within the classroom setting. Suitable applicants will ideally have a high level of interpersonal skills enabling you to work collaboratively with staff members to meet the needs of students. You should possess knowledge of effective strategies to support students in Early Childhood Education, combined with the knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS).
