About The Role We are seeking expressions of interest from Aircrew Officers (ACO’s x 4) who wish to be considered for the role of ACO at our new Hobart Base. We’re seeking highly skilled, and outcome focussed ACO’s to deliver rapid aeromedical interventions, police response and search & rescue operations in Australia’s most challenging environment. From day one, you’ll serve as the vital link in Tasmania’s health and Police network. Saving lives and improving patient outcomes for isolated regional and remote communities. Working a 4 on / 4 off roster, we have exciting opportunities for full-time ACO’s based at our new Hobart base, where you’ll take on front-left seat and rear cabin duties for critical missions. These include: Winch operations over land and waterPrimary response tasksSearch and rescue (SAR) missionsInter-facility transfers About You We are looking for experienced Aircrew Officers who can demonstrate a background in aeromedical retrieval, search and rescue, or aerial law enforcement / military, and is looking for their next challenge. Along with excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in being part of a team, you will be comfortable offering operational support including administrative and other non-flight tasks. Key Accountabilities As an Aircrew Officer, your key accountabilities are to: Assist the pilot to carry out all aeromedical, search and rescue, emergency and counter disaster operations and other government support duties.Ensure the Captain is promptly advised on all matters affecting the safety, serviceability or effectiveness of the aircraft or the operation.Carry out all duties and training in accordance with the StarFlight Australia’s Operations Manual.Assist in ensuring that all flight and task documentation is accurately completed and that all crews are adequately briefed and de briefed on any deficiencies promptly addressed.Undertake and support operational duties during emergencies and disasters as necessary.
