Make an Impact As a Cyber Security Engineer with Endeavour Foundation, you’ll be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the security solutions that protect our information assets. Your work will directly support Endeavour’s risk management and security strategies, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our systems and data. In this role, you’ll implement and apply industry frameworks and standards (such as ISO 27001 and Essential Eight) to mitigate risk, while also collaborating with internal teams, external vendors, and third-party partners to deliver secure, compliant, and resilient solutions. Key duties of this role are to: Implement enterprise security solutions aligned with frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, Essential Eight, ASD ISM). Design, document, implement and maintain procedures and controls to mitigate threats and meet compliance requirements. Identify and remediate vulnerabilities across cloud and on-premise environments. Conduct security risk assessments for new and existing platforms, recommending improvements. Respond to security incidents (detect, contain, eradicate, recover, PIR analysis). Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, playbooks, and security documentation. Provide input on security requirements for vendor contracts, RFPs and SOWs. What you can bring to the team You bring strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex security concepts clearly. Collaborative and adaptable, you work well with diverse stakeholders and contribute to a positive team culture. To succeed in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in IT, Information Security, or a related field. Industry certifications (e.g. CISSP, SSCP, CCSP, CEH, Microsoft Security Suite). 3 years’ experience in a cyber security engineering or related role. Experience designing, implementing, and reviewing enterprise security solutions. Strong understanding of security frameworks (ISO27001, Essential Eight, ASD ISM). Skilled in assessing and managing cyber risks within enterprise environments. Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, SOAR, NDR, EDR, XDR, Microsoft suite). Ability to stay updated across emerging threats and recommend proactive solutions. Experience conducting security risk assessments and third-party assessments. Strong communication skills, able to deliver security awareness training. You will be required to undertake a “Fit2Work” National Criminal History Check and hold or be willing to obtain a Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
