This is a Full-time ongoing opportunity based in Annadale NSW at MacKillop Education Waranara School. About The Role: We are seeking a dedicated Student Wellbeing Advisor to provide support to students supports in regulating themselves and empowering students to thrive. The Student Wellbeing Advisor supports students to meet educational and wellbeing needs to achieve high school qualifications. This position will require you to support the student by liaising with families, healthcare professionals and staff and will involve working closely with the broader team, MacKillop Education staff, community stakeholders and partners to achieve positive outcomes for students. The role is also responsible for ensuring that Mackillop Education Waranara School is child safe, complies with all regulatory and funding requirements and manages risk within the school. Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will have: Formal qualifications in one of the following: Counselling, Psychology, and/or Social Work, or equivalent significant demonstrated experience. Professional history of working with young people who have a lived experience of complex trauma and/or mental health within a school. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of adolescent development and trauma informed practices. Ability to demonstrate professional agility and empathy in a school context. Ongoing commitment to strong self-care, boundaries, insight and self-awareness.
