We're looking for an experienced Communications Officer to join our local government client and working alongside a team of a Coordinator, Graphic Designer, Media & Advocacy Advisor and 2 other Comms Officers to take ownership of their online and digital channels and help them engage effectively with their local community. Working hours: Full time hours or part time hours Pay rate: $45ph Super Start date: ASAP Duration: Approx 3 weeks with possibility to extend The Role Key responsibilities include: Manage and update content for the corporate website (Silverstripe CMS). Oversee and grow engagement across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Produce regular e-newsletters, including community and stakeholder updates. Coordinate video, photo, and graphic content to support campaigns. Monitor analytics and trends to improve communication outcomes. Support colleagues to deliver engaging and consistent messaging. About you: Ideally previous experience in local government Previous experience in a communications, marketing, or similar role. Strong skills in CMS, social media, HTML, Photoshop, and content writing. Knowledge of web and graphic design principles. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Tertiary qualification in Communications or Marketing (essential). Current "C" class driver's licence.
