Why you’ll want this job: $63/hr consistent Mon–Fri afternoon shifts (1pm–9pm) Ongoing work in a large, stable operation Afternoon roster = sleep in, get stuff done in the mornings Work with modern plant equipment in a safety-first environment Real variety — every day’s a mix of fixes, upgrades, and problem solving Your day-to-day: Fixing, maintaining, and improving heavy plant equipment Quick breakdown response and sharp fault-finding Conveyor maintenance, belt tracking, and bearing swaps Welding and fabrication Operating lathes, milling machines, hydraulics and pneumatics Keeping to preventative maintenance schedules (and doing it safely) What we need from you: Cert III in Mechanical Trade (Fitting & Turning) or equivalent Solid experience in industrial or manufacturing environments Good fault-finding skills and happy to work independently Welding/fabrication ability Reliability, attention to detail, and a can-do approach Able to read and follow technical drawings Forklift ticket’s a bonus but not essential Where you’ll be: Carrara, Gold Coast South — easy drive, onsite parking, and no crazy city traffic.
