We are currently seeking reliable, motivated, and compassionate support workers to join our team and provide ongoing care to clients in the Southport area. About the Role You will be responsible for supporting individuals in their day-to-day lives, promoting independence and dignity while meeting their individual care needs. Duties include: Personal care, including manual handling (hoisting, transfers, mobility support) Medication assistance Assistance with health and rehabilitation exercises Documenting progress notes and managing care charts Supporting clients to attend medical and allied health appointments Transportation and participation in community-based activities Domestic duties (meal preparation, light cleaning, household tasks) Split shifts or active/sleepover shifts available 7-day roster availability High Care Client Needs – Specific Requirements You must have experience working with individuals with complex health and physical support needs, including: Neurological, intellectual, ASD, ABI, neuromuscular & spinal cord injuries Manual handling experience is essential – including hoisting, transfers, and use of mobility aids Personal care, continence care, digital stimulation, and enema insertion Monitoring skin integrity and pressure care PEG feeding and complex wound management Ability to observe and respond to client behaviours and health changes What’s on Offer Regular set rosters Day, afternoon, night, and sleepover shifts A supportive and inclusive team culture Ongoing professional development, including fortnightly in-house Clinical Nurse Consultant training Opportunity to build long-term relationships with clients Help individuals achieve their goals and live their best life Requirements Manual handling experience (hoisting, transfers, and use of equipment) – essential Passion for supporting people with disabilities Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (highly regarded) Assist with Medications certification Strong communication skills – both verbal and written Current Australian Driver’s License Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check Current First Aid & CPR Certification
