Mindset Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Tech Lead) to shape and deliver exceptional AI-powered products and platforms. This senior role is pivotal in our mission to make digital therapeutics accessible, guiding technical strategy, architecture, and innovation, particularly through integrating advanced AI and large language models (LLMs). This is a high-impact role suited to someone who’s comfortable owning end-to-end delivery, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and is excited by the opportunity to apply cutting-edge technologies to real human needs. Our team follows a hybrid model working out of our office in Cremorne, so we’d love to see applications from those based in (or willing to relocate to) Melbourne. Key Responsibilities Define and maintain the technical vision and architecture roadmap for our products, aligning closely with broader company strategies. Lead key architectural decisions, effectively balancing speed, maintainability, and scalability. Partner proactively with Product and Design leads to ensure AI/LLM-driven features deliver measurable business and user impact. Collaborate across engineering, content, marketing, clinical, and data teams, focusing on high-quality, user-focused AI-driven experiences. Develop and maintain robust full-stack solutions, integrating sophisticated AI functionalities. Research and implement innovative AI and LLM technologies to significantly enhance personalisation, interactivity, and therapeutic value. Provide mentorship, technical leadership, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, particularly in AI best practices. Ensure high standards in security, privacy, compliance, and ethical AI use, particularly relevant to sensitive healthcare data. What you’ll bring to the role: Proven technical leadership, with deep expertise in software development, AI/LLM integration, and architecture design. Experience integrating AI and/or LLMs into applications is highly desirable. Strong strategic vision, with an ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated success in fostering collaborative, innovative engineering cultures and mentoring teams. Commitment to high-quality coding standards, robust testing practices, and continuous improvement.
