With their national head office based in Brisbane's south, you will be working in a modern habitat, furnished with state-of-the-art facilities. As CTO, you will shape the technology roadmap, drive innovation, and oversee the delivery of strategic initiatives that directly impact business performance. Leading a capable IT and development team (including helpdesk, software developers, and external consultants), you will bring clarity, leadership, and technical depth to ensure the organisation's systems, platforms, and digital strategy remain at the forefront. Responsibilities Define and execute the company's technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy and objectives. Oversee and guide IT operations, software development, infrastructure, and vendor relationships. Champion innovation through the adoption of emerging technologies and optimisation of existing systems. Provide oversight on critical enterprise platforms including CRM, ERP, WMS, POS, HRIS, Finance, Payroll, and Cloud Infrastructure. Ensure robust risk management, governance, and security practices are in place. Build, develop, and mentor a high-performing technology team. Report to the CEO and Advisory Board, presenting clear updates on project status, risks, opportunities, and performance. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and brand forums. About you We are seeking a seasoned executive with the ability to balance strategic foresight and hands-on leadership. You will be equally comfortable engaging with the boardroom, your team, and technology vendors to achieve results. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related field. Proven executive or senior technology leadership experience, ideally reporting to a governance or risk board. Strong background across enterprise systems such as: CRM, ERP, PIM, WMS, POS, TMS, Payroll/Finance, HR Systems, LMS, Security, Middleware, eCommerce, SQL Server, Azure, AWS, .NET Development. Demonstrated success in project management, digital transformation, and vendor negotiations. Experience overseeing mobile app development, Power BI dashboards, and reporting solutions. A track record of fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and cultural change within a technology function. Industry experience in retail or FMCG will be highly regarded.
