An exciting opportunity has landed with a growing manufacturing business that is investing in its operations and looking to strengthen its purchasing function. This is a chance to take ownership of day to day buying, optimise inventory and lead supplier performance. You will partner closely with operations and leadership to improve cost, quality and lead times while building simple, scalable processes. Key Responsibilities: • Build and manage supplier relationships with a focus on price, quality and delivery • Run sourcing events, negotiate commercial terms and manage contracts • Monitor spend, identify cost saving opportunities and deliver improvements • Plan and control inventory in line with operational requirements • Track purchase orders, resolve shortages and expedite where required • Report on supplier performance, inventory health and purchasing metrics • Maintain accurate records and data in the ERP and purchasing systems • Drive continuous improvement across purchasing policies and workflows • Collaborate with operations and leadership to support business growth initiatives What You Will Need: • Clear communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across operations and leadership • Demonstrated negotiation capability and strong commercial awareness • Hands on experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing or production environment • Confidence using ERP or inventory systems and strong attention to detail with data accuracy • Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment, managing competing priorities with composure • Strong analytical skills with advanced spreadsheet knowledge for planning and reporting • A proactive mindset and willingness to drive continuous improvement initiatives What’s on Offer?
