The key duties of the position include The Role This role will require the candidate to investigate technologies required for Special Forces training and operations conduct market scan and comparisons of suitable technologies to support Special Forces Capability Development. This will include specialist sensors, navigation, optical and weapon systems. You will access and analyse a broad range of information sources, collaborate with other specialists, and use your research and engineering skills to determine the capabilities specialist systems. You will employ specialist analytical tools, methodologies, and techniques to prepare technical assessments that support Defence leadership and the development of future Australian Defence capabilities. About our Team The Special Air Service Capability Development Cell analyses and characterises specialty systems to ensure the Special Operations Command maintains its competitive advantage over potential threats. We work closely with international partners and members of the Science and Technology community to accomplish this.
