The Australian Government has engaged ACECQA to deliver the In Home Care Quality and Safety Project to strengthen the capability of In Home Care services to provide safe and high quality education and care. Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Projects, the Senior Officer, Strategic Projects will provide both policy and practice expertise to support the delivery of the In Home Care Quality and Safety Project. This includes undertaking legislative analysis and review to develop policy papers and proposals; reporting on project deliverables and milestones; developing professional learning resources aligned with contemporary best practice; and providing coaching and mentoring support to service leaders and approved providers. This role is full-time and fixed term to 30 June 2026 at ACECQA Band 5/6 ($103,179-$140,976) with possible opportunity for extension for the right candidate. Flexible work arrangements will be considered. The key duties of the position include Key Accountabilities Undertake research, policy and legislative review, including analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, to develop evidence-based strategies, frameworks, tools and resources to support project objectives. Prepare evidence-based briefs, reports and policy papers for internal and external stakeholders that support sector capacity building and practice uplift. Develop interactive, engaging, and responsive resources, training materials and publications for children's education and care service providers, service leaders, educators and families. Facilitate professional development and consultative activities, both in person and virtually, through workshops, webinars, communities of practice, and one on one intensive support, as required by the project schedule. Build and maintain effective professional relationships with key stakeholders such as early childhood education and care approved providers, service leaders and educators and other key stakeholders to build their capability to implement their regulatory obligations and promote continuous quality improvement. • Work cooperatively across project teams and internal and external subject matter experts to contribute to research and evaluation activities, reporting, policy development and project objectives. Maintain consistent, transparent and accurate records in line with ACECQA's Records policies and procedures.
