Job Description About the Role As a Volunteer Food Hamper Maker, you will play a key part in supporting DPV Health’s food relief program. You will help with unpacking food donations, organising hampers, and ensuring food is stored appropriately for clients in need. This role is a great way to help others while working as part of a supportive, collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Working within the Volunteer Program, you will be responsible for: • Sorting and unpacking delivered food items. • Assembling and packaging food hampers for clients. • Ensuring food stock is rotated, checking expiry dates and keeping storage areas organised. • Distributing food hampers to participants with respect and care. • Following Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines and ensuring a safe working environment. • Maintaining cleanliness in food storage and distribution areas. Desired Skills and Experience About You To succeed in this role, you will bring: • The ability to safely manoeuvre around a warehouse and lift boxes (approx. 2-10 kg). • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well with diverse groups. • Organisational skills and attention to detail in food sorting and storage. • A commitment to safety and following OHS guidelines.
