We’re looking for a Capital Works Officer to join us at our Leichhardt office, right in the heart of Sydney’s vibrant Inner West. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on detail, is highly organised, and enjoys seeing projects through from start to finish. The Role You’ll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our annual capital works and refurbishment program. This includes project coordination, contract administration, financial reporting, and stakeholder communication — all with a focus on delivering quality outcomes on time and on budget. Your day-to-day will include: Coordinating project deliverables and providing accurate reporting to stakeholders.Managing contract administration and project costs to ensure financial close-out.Preparing resourcing and financial reports to support project capitalisation.Maintaining the Capital Works SharePoint page and reconciling project expenses.Supporting the Head of Capital Works with administration, scheduling, and financial processes.Promoting safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all projects. About You You’re someone who thrives in a busy, project-driven environment and has the skills to balance priorities while maintaining a high standard of detail. You’ll bring: At least 3 years’ experience in project coordination/support for complex projects (ideally in occupied properties or the care sector).Strong understanding of project delivery support and financial resource management.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Experience implementing quality systems and a working knowledge of WHS and compliance.An understanding of IT, communication, and security systems within buildings (advantageous).
