The Role We are seeking reliable and motivated Irrigation Workers to join a cotton farming operation in Goondiwindi, QLD. This is a practical, outdoor role in a busy farming environment where you'll play a vital part in ensuring effective water management across cotton crops. Working within a supportive team, you'll enjoy variety, responsibility, and the chance to contribute directly to crop success. Key Responsibilities In this role, you'll be responsible for operating and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure consistent and efficient water supply to crops. Your duties will include: Operating and maintaining irrigation systems (siphons, pumps, channels, and valves) Starting, monitoring, and shutting down water flows to ensure even irrigation Checking water levels and adjusting flows to prevent over- or under-watering Conducting routine inspections of irrigation infrastructure and reporting any faults or damage Assisting with general farm duties, including maintenance and field support Benefits $35.00 per hour pay rate Short-term role, 4-8 weeks duration Consistent hours, approx. 50 hours per week On-farm accommodation (bring your own linen) Supportive farming team environment Your Skills & Experience To succeed in this role, you'll need to be physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while contributing to the team.
