Port Melbourne | Full-Time | Finance & Accounting Join a global wholesale business with an international supply chain and a strong presence across Asia. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Accountant to join our Port Melbourne-based finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role is key to maintaining the accuracy of financial records, delivering timely reporting, and supporting compliance and payroll activities across the group. This is a broad, hands-on role offering exposure to international operations, including close collaboration with a China-based manufacturing site . Mandarin language skills will be highly regarded to support cross-border communication and financial coordination. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports aligned with AASB/IFRS Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments Ensure compliance with BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax, and other statutory obligations Lead payroll processing and ensure alignment with relevant legislation and internal controls Oversee general ledger, accounts payable and receivable functions Deliver financial analysis and insights to support business and board-level decisions Maintain and enhance internal controls, process documentation, and system improvements About You: Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance, CPA/CA qualified (or working towards) 5 years' experience in financial or management accounting Strong knowledge of AASB and/or IFRS Payroll processing experience essential Proficient in Excel; SAP or ERP systems experience preferred Mandarin language skills highly regarded Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and communication skills A proactive and collaborative team player This is an exciting opportunity to work in a global setting, contribute to continuous improvement, and play a key role in a dynamic and growing finance team.
