Why this role Matters: The Salvation Army (Salvos) provides a wide range of services that support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programs, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence. Our services focus on prevention, restoration and healing to provide specialised support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey. About the Role: The Specialist Family Violence Orange Door Practitioner – Men’s Response (and Women’s Response) works as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, and effective responses to men who use violence, Victorian women, children and families seeking support and safety through the Orange Door. You will maintain perpetrator accountability and support view, under the supervision of the Integrated Orange Door Team Leader, with guidance from Orange Door Practice Leaders. This is a full time, 12 month , fixed term vacancy located in Frankston, Melbourne . Remuneration in line with SCHADS Level 6. Key Responsibilities: Deliver screening, triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, and coordinated referrals in line with the Integrated Practice Framework, Operational Guidelines, Service Specifications, and risk assessment tools Identify, assess, and prioritise risk and needs of women, children, families, and perpetrators, leveraging the expertise of a multidisciplinary team Determine when a Central Information Point (CIP) request is required and refer to the Advanced Family Violence Practice Leader Submit requests with the Orange Door Team Leader for allocation into core services Apply for brokerage on behalf of clients in accordance with Brokerage Guidelines Record client information accurately in the Orange Door CRM system Undertake interim support as a lead practitioner or support worker aligned with the Integrated Practice Framework Participate in training and development activities to build capability for effective hub operations About You: Essential: A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, or related fields Desirable: Experience in the family violence sector Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and to maintain client safety and confidentiality Commitment to child-safe practices and safeguarding responsibilities Why W ork F or U s: Salary P ackaging ( up to $ 15,900 tax free ) plus meal s and entertainment benefit ($2,650) Generous p aid P arental L eave for primary (12 weeks) and secondary carers P urchased L eave S cheme ( up to 8 weeks) Workplace Support Leave (5 days) for volunteering in Salvos initiatives Access to EAP and health & wellness initiatives Ongoing training and development opportunities that enhance on the job skills and proficiency Rewarding and fulfilling purpose driven careers that have positive and sustainable social impacts How to Apply : We are looking for compassionate people who share our mission and values, if you have the passion and drive to commit yourself to a challenging and rewarding role; we invite you to apply via the link and submit a current CV and a cover letter which details your alignment with the essential requirements of the role.
