Your Role at St John of God Subiaco Hospital The Environmental Services Assistant ensures all areas of responsibility in the Main Hospital, Medical Clinic, Bendat Family Comprehensive Cancer Centre and designated tenant spaces are cleaned at a high standard and in a timely, safe and efficient manner encompassing all aspects of infection control requirements and standards. The Position Clean all common areas, patient wards, designated clinical and tenancy spaces and internal offices of the Hospital as rostered. Dust high and low surfaces within scope of responsibility. Remove rubbish and empty waste bins. Damp wipe all furniture and fixture. Clean and polish metal and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms. Dry and/or damp mop hard floors of rooms, offices, toilets and common areas. Use wet floor signs at all times prior to damp mopping. Replenish supplies and toiletries where required. Vacuum soft and hard floors as per cleaning tasks. Shampoo carpets as per maintenance schedule and remove stains/spots as directed by Supervisor/Manager. Clean ceilings, walls, windows and vents as per cleaning schedule. You will have an understanding of and ability to apply occupational health and safety principles to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace, with a commitment to customer service and well-developed communication and interpersonal skills. To succeed you will possess the ability work autonomously or within a team, prioritise & multitask to achieve desired results, and take quick action to identify and resolve problems.
