Do work that matters: As a Senior Software Engineer in Cybersecurity Engineering, you’ll design and automate tools and infrastructure to support secure, scalable systems. The focus is on CyberArk expertise, privileged access management, and identity lifecycle automation, safeguarding critical assets and supporting cybersecurity objectives through innovative engineering. See yourself in our team In your role as a Senior Software Engineer within our Identity Engineering team—a key part of Cyber Engineering—you’ll report to the Engineering Chapter Lead and play a vital part in strengthening the scalability, reliability, and security of our identity and automation systems. You’ll help deliver sophisticated privileged access management (PAM) and identity projects, supporting the protection of our platforms, information, and digital assets in both cloud and on-premises settings. Operating in a DevSecOps culture, you’ll concentrate on privileged access management, automating identity lifecycle processes, and embedding security into our engineering practices. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be central, ensuring identity and security controls are integrated at every stage of development, while driving innovation, efficiency, and robust platform performance. We're interested in hearing from people who: Deep expertise with CyberArk PAS suite (CPM, PVWA, PSM, EPV, PTA, PSMP), custom connector development, privileged access management, and onboarding workflows for privileged accounts. Strong automation skills using REST APIs, PACLI, PowerShell, Python, and experience implementing privileged access policies and streamlining adoption of new technologies. Proficient in identity platforms such as Sailpoint and PingID, with hands-on experience in identity lifecycle management and integration for both financial and cloud applications. Experienced in incident management within identity and access management, and passionate about designing, developing, deploying, and running robust identity and security solutions. Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team: Extensive experience with CyberArk PAS suite, privileged access management, and onboarding workflows for privileged accounts Proficiency in automating identity and PAM tasks using REST APIs, PACLI, PowerShell, Python, and other scripting languages Integration expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, AWS CDK) Hands-on experience with identity platforms like Sailpoint and PingID, including identity lifecycle management and integration Familiarity with incident management, logging/monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus), and containerisation/orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) CyberArk Defender, Sentry, or Certified Delivery Engineer certification preferred; experience with Gen AI adoption on PAM and identity toolsets is a plus Working with us: Whether you’re passionate about customer service, driven by software engineering, or called by creativity, a career with CommBank is for you.
