What you’ll be doing The Senior Manager, Integrated Planning leads the establishment and execution of Virgin Australia's integrated planning processes, focusing on operational excellence and cross-functional alignment. This role is essential to ensuring the integrated planning cycles contribute to commercial outcomes by driving operational efficiency improvements through enhanced roster management, slot optimization, and workforce planning precision. The position reports into the General Manager, Integrated Planning, who reports into our Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer. You will have excellent exposure to senior leaders in the business and you will be able to contribute to the future of Virgin Australia in a meaningful way. Further responsibilities: Coordinate integrated planning activities across Network Planning, Schedule Planning, Workforce Planning, and Operations Support the development and implementation of planning parameters and guidelines Monitor compliance with planning parameters and escalate issues appropriately Build strong working relationships with key operational stakeholders Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving sessions Analyze proposed schedule changes to identify risks and improvement opportunities Work closely with Ops Performance and Advanced Analytics teams to synthesize data insights Support change management initiatives across planning functions You’ll be great in this role if you have… 7 years’ experience in airline operations, Consulting, Strategy & Planning, or related field Bachelor's degree in related field, MBA or project management certification is advantageous Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build and interrogate complex models in Excel Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience presenting to senior leadership teams Experience with operational planning processes and systems Advanced analytical and modelling capabilities Ability to translate complex technical concepts to business stakeholders Project management and stakeholder engagement techniques A genuine interest in aviation and some knowledge of the key metrics that drive the industry We’re committed to looking after you, with some of the best benefits and conditions in the industry – including (but not limited to): Discounted flights for you and your loved ones (including $1000 worth of travel credits per year) A flexible, hybrid work style.
