Casual Electrician - Building Materials Manufacturing Location: Sunshine, VIC - Onsite Employment Type: Casual Afternoon Shift - Flat rate between $65p/h - $75p/h DOE About Us My client a leading building materials manufacturer, supplying high-quality products to the construction industry across Australia. With a strong focus on safety, reliability, and innovation, we operate a busy manufacturing facility in Sunshine and are seeking a skilled Casual Electrician to support our maintenance team on Afternoon Shift. The Role As a Casual Electrician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our production facility. You will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and preventative work on a wide range of plant and equipment to minimise downtime and support continuous production. Responsibilities Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repair work on production machinery and plant equipment. Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and electrical systems. Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimise equipment breakdowns Respond promptly to breakdowns to reduce production downtime. Ensure all work complies with Australian electrical standards, company policies, and OH&S requirements. Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to improve reliability and efficiency. Requirements Qualified A-Grade Electrician (VIC Electrical Licence). Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment (preferred). Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLC fault-finding, and motor control. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities. A strong focus on safety and compliance. Flexibility to work casual shifts as required, including potential weekend and after-hours availability.
