We deliver 28 key services such as childcare, waste collection, parks maintenance, libraries, community facilities and aquatic centres to over 380,000 residents. The role CBCity is seeking a Graduate Procurement Officer to support the Council’s procurement team. The procurement team at CBCity facilitates the buying of a wide range of essential goods and services that service the Council and the community. You will assist with preparing, issuing, and evaluating procurement documents and contracts, help implement effective procurement strategies, and contribute to the delivery of the annual procurement program, all while ensuring compliance and managing organisational risk. This is a Temporary Full-Time opportunity, commencing February 2026 for a two-year term. Duties will include but not be limited to: Assist with preparing procurement documents in line with legislation and Council’s procurement policies and procedures. Coordinate the publishing of tenders, quotations, and Expressions of Interest, including issuing addenda and clarifications, and collating associated documentation. Use electronic procurement systems to manage submissions from lodgement through to evaluation, ensuring accurate records are maintained. Support the preparation of procurement recommendation reports and contract documents for senior management in accordance with Council approvals. Help maintain procurement resources, including contract registers and user guides for panel contracts. Provide routine and ad hoc procurement support to business units, while assisting the Team Leader to implement and monitor systems that ensure compliance, probity, and effective procurement practices. Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. It is desirable, though not essential, that you are proficient in Microsoft Office, possess strong organisational and adaptable communication skills, are confident and personable when engaging with stakeholders, and bring self-motivation, a willingness to learn, and a positive approach to challenges. The salary range for this opportunity starts at $71,820 (Grade D, Step 1) 12% Super. Salary is negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
