Responsibilities Lead and contribute to a state-wide dementia care program and pilot projects; provide expert consultancy, research, education, and clinical leadership to shape OPMHS and inpatient services. Drive research, education, and clinical innovation; lead and supervise CNC peers and the nursing workforce; plan and deliver specialised education and training. Provide expert clinical consultancy across OPMHS and support NSW Health inpatient services caring for people with extreme behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) with complex care needs. What You’ll Be Doing Join a state-wide pilot program supporting NSW Health inpatient services for people with extreme BPSD. Lead as a senior clinician driving expert consultancy, leadership, education, research, and service development. Essential Requirements Qualification: Postgraduate qualification related to the specific area of specialty. Registration: Registered Nurse with current authority to practise with AHPRA. Selection Criteria Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Minimum seven (07) years of full-time post-graduate experience, including at least five (05) years in the specialty field. Possession of an approved postgraduate qualification and/or master’s degree relevant to the specialty. Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team with a strong commitment to clinical excellence in nursing practice. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with initiative, accountability, and sound clinical judgment. Experience delivering education and training with understanding of evidence-based practice and person-centered care. Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement. Experience in conducting or contributing to research, clinical audits, and/or clinical practice improvement projects within OPMHS. Eligible to drive in NSW and willing to travel across the state as needed.
