We are a leading, multi award-winning, wholesale production nursery based at Mangrove Mountain. We specialise in growing quality flowering plants, herbs and cottage, and upstart tubestock. We supply leading retail chain stores and independent retailers across NSW and the ACT. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team to carry out nursery hand duties. Immediate start available. What you'll be doing The role responsibilities include, but are not limited to: picking, sorting, packing and dispatching of our herb, cottage, tubestock and other specialty products all aspects of plant production: seeding and planting general nursery duties. Days and hours This position is for 5 days per week - Monday to Friday. Work hours are 6:30am start to 3:00pm, with lunch and morning tea breaks at designated times. The opportunity for overtime may become available in our busiest seasons. What we're looking for The ideal candidate will have: plant knowledge, nursery or gardening experience, or a love of plants and the outdoors an eye for detail can quickly learn and follow processes and instructions works well in a fast-paced environment with deadline pressures takes initiative is reliable (highly essential) and has own transport is fit and healthy (ability to be on your feet all day, in all weather conditions) can work independently, as well as in a team good communication skills. Desirable but not essential Certificate 3 in Horticulture (or equivalent). Industry experience. Knowledge of plant varieties. A keen interest in horticulture.
