What You'll Be Doing Be the welcoming face and first point of contact for our patients—whether in person, over the phone, or via email. Efficiently manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and reminders using our practice management software. Register new patients, update their details, and assist with My Health Record registrations. Greet and assist patients with warmth and professionalism, attending to any needs or inquiries with care and respect. Communicate with clinical staff—alerting them to patient arrivals, workflow delays, or urgent needs. Handle phone and email correspondence with your phenomenal written and verbal communication skills. Support billing and payment processing tasks, including patient payments and levying of fees. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy practices at all times. Ensure the reception and waiting areas are tidy, welcoming, and well-stocked. Assist with general administrative duties—such as scanning, filing, ordering supplies—and ad hoc tasks as needed to keep the practice running smoothly. About you Experienced & Qualified You bring proven experience in medical reception or a related administrative role—ideally with experience in a general practice setting, and using Best Practice (preferred but not essential!) Tech-Savvy & Autonomous You can hit the ground running—adept at handling digital tools, organizing your own workflow, and making smart, independent decisions. Patient-Centred & Personable Exceptional customer service comes naturally to you. You’re friendly, empathetic, and excel at making patients feel seen and supported. Organized & Detail-Oriented You manage tasks efficiently, juggle priorities with ease, and rarely miss a detail. Whether it’s scheduling appointments accurately or keeping records neat—you’ve got it covered.
