Position Overview The Provenance, Seed Collection and Seed Bank Manager provides specialist knowledge and expertise in seed bank management, seed collection and provenance propagation. You will lead a team of technicians and volunteers who work collaboratively across all functions of the organisation. You will actively engage with staff, volunteers, community and clients to promote the inspiration of APACE WA and ensure we meet our strategic goals. SUMMARY Key Responsibilities Manage the Swan Regional Seed Bank & Seed Collection Coordinate Provenance Propagation and Supply Management and Supervision Public Relations and Promotion Participation in APACE WA Sustainability Skills and experience Qualification in Horticulture, Botany or Conservation and Eco System Management, or relevant equivalency. In-depth horticultural knowledge of the flora and propagation of WA native plants and trees, in particular the Swan Coastal Plain and Darling Scarp. Expert current practical knowledge of best practice native seed collection, processing & storage techniques. Experience locating suitable plants/remnants to collect from. In-depth knowledge of the nursery & revegetation industry. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, custom databases, and GIS software. Manual driver’s licence. Current First Aid Certificate.
