The company specialises in growing a range of crops and runs a fleet of trucks delivering fresh produce to the Brisbane markets. Position Details We are seeking a passionate and motivated individual for the full-time Electrician General role located in Ayr, Queensland. The successful candidate will join our team to carry out a variety of electrical installation and maintenance tasks, including interpreting blueprints, installing and repairing wiring, connecting electrical systems, and diagnosing faults using test instruments. Responsibilities Key responsibilities for this role include ongoing maintenance of electrical pumps, distribution board (db) boxes, and workshop machinery, particularly those that use three-phase power. Pumps located on storage tanks require both three-phase and single-phase maintenance to ensure optimal performance—a critical requirement for the services we provide to our clients. Examining blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to determine operational sequences and methods Participate in a broad array of electrical and mechanical tasks with minimal supervision Perform preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on production equipment Measuring and laying out installation reference points Selecting, cutting, and connecting wire and cable to terminals and connectors Utilising electrical and electronic test instruments to troubleshoot electrical faults to minimise downtime Repairing and replacing faulty wiring and defective parts as well as conducting safety checks and ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations Positioning and installing electrical switchboards Connecting electrical systems to power supply Testing circuit continuity Installing, testing, and adjusting electric and mechanical parts of lifts Installing, testing, and commissioning solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation systems Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability Candidate Requirements Applicants must be self-driven and possess at least two years of experience in a similar role. Candidates with relevant qualifications will be highly regarded; however, those with sufficient experience in place of formal qualifications are also encouraged to apply. The electrical worker’s license for this position must be held or able to be obtained. Remuneration and Application The offered remuneration package ranges from $80,000 to $90,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, in recognition of your hard work, commitment, and passion for being part of a successful and thriving business.
