About the opportunity The Studio 2IC reports to the Studio Manager and is part of the MyChoice interior design team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to provide our interior design team with mentoring and support and our valued clients with a comprehensive understanding of the interior and external products available within our product range at the very critical selections stage. More specifically, your responsibilities will include: • This is an approx 12-month parental leave contract. • Ensuring team members have the knowledge and capabilities to perform their roles effectively • Provide ongoing coaching to enable our interior designers to achieve their goals and objectives • Implement system and process changes to ensure increased accuracy, efficiency and service • Ensure workflow and customer processes run smoothly and any inefficiencies are resolved to ensure mutual benefit and satisfaction • Address any obstacles or bottlenecks that may impact achieving milestones and customer expectations • Work closely with the team to ensure a culture of excellence in customer service and the MJH core pillars are understood and are embedded within the team • Advocate the brand and continuously look for ways to delight customers • Develop and facilitate training to upskill the team in all aspects of customer service and technical knowledge relevant to their roles About you To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of MJH and NEX Group along with: • Availability to work every second Saturday. • The ability to mentor and coach the design team to create a culture of high performance • Strong account management skills and the ability to frequently adapt to the scope of work in a fast-paced environment • Qualifications including a Diploma in Design and Decoration and/or other relevant tertiary qualifications in business and leadership • Residential building industry experience • Some knowledge of residential floor plans, housing contracts as well as knowledge of the electrical side of building a new home • Be highly organised and able to prioritise and multi-task and delegate tasks • Resilience and perseverance and the ability to adapt to change • Proven commitment to cross functional collaboration We are keen to improve female (and other marginalised groups) representation in our workplaces.
