Our Environmental Education Centre is seeking a passionate and flexible teacher to join our team in 2026. This role offers the opportunity to inspire students of all ages through hands-on, place-based learning in natural and community settings. Unlike traditional classroom roles, teaching in an Environmental Education Centre requires adaptability, creativity, and a willingness to embrace each day as different from the last. In this role, you will deliver curriculum-linked environmental education programs to a wide range of year levels and student groups, responding dynamically to the needs of different age groups and cohorts each day. Flexibility is essential, as start and finish times may vary depending on program locations, including off-site delivery. Each day involves setting up and packing down materials and equipment to support engaging outdoor and indoor learning experiences. All programs are underpinned by the centre's core operational pillars of sustainability, Indigenous perspectives, and wellbeing. You will be expected to ensure a safe learning environment through active risk management and by maintaining a current First Aid Certificate (including CPR). The role also involves working collaboratively within a small, dedicated team and building strong, professional relationships with visiting teachers, schools, and community partners.
