About the roleSome of the key responsibilities of the role are: Ensure that the kitchens operate in accordance with relevant workplace health and safety requirements and maintain the Food Safety Plan, conducting annual compliance audits across facilities. Monitor the kitchens' operating systems, materials, equipment, environmental utilities and staffing needs to ensure maximum efficiency and a high standard of reliability and cost effectiveness. Report on the Food Services operating budget. Develop and implement an annual operational plan aligned to the Allied Health Operational Plan. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Expert knowledge of the legislation, directives, standards, policies and guidelines relevant to foodservices within Queensland Health. Proven ability to supervise and manage a large multi-disciplinary department (staff and teams) to ensure services are provided efficiently and effectively, in line with quality human resource practices, including equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination, workplace health and safety and ethical behaviour and demonstrated commitment to their implementation. Extensive interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills (including written) appropriate to a senior role together with advanced change management skills suited to dealing with a complex range of internal and external stakeholders. Highly developed information technology skills and demonstrated ability to interpret and analyse data in relation to service planning and delivery. Proven leadership of a large multi-disciplinary food services department/commercial business operation, preferably to include financial and cost centre management within a healthcare setting.
