Your New Role: A fantastic opportunity has become available within Civic Services, for the position of Civic Maintenance Team Member. This a permanent full-time position As the Civic Maintenance Team Member you will work primarily with the Open Space and Facilities Team in South West Rocks involved in the maintenance of Council’s civic infrastructure in South West Rocks open space areas but may also be required to work with other Open Space and Facilities Teams within the Kempsey Shire as directed. The position involves working on a rotating roster including work on weekends and Public Holidays. For a full list of the Key Accountabilities of the role, please refer to the Position Description. About You: To be successful in this role you be able to demonstrate work experience relevant to the role including and not limited to: Cleaning and civic maintenance duties Experience in open space maintenance activities Demonstrated understanding of operation and maintenance of mowers, whipper snippers and other relevant equipment General handyperson skills and the ability to use a range of hand and power tools You will hold relevant tickets and accreditations e.g., Chemical Application, First Aid, Crosscut Chainsaw, Ride-on Mower Accreditation preferred, as well as hold a current driver licence and construction induction certificate, You should possess excellent verbal and written communication, have proven ability to be an active and effective member of a team and be customer service focused.
