What You’ll Be Doing Overseeing the day-to-day operations on active Defence construction sites Leading subcontractors, trades, and site crews with confidence and clarity Ensuring works are completed safely, on time, and to strict Defence and quality standards Running site meetings, toolbox talks, inductions, and managing WHS compliance Liaising directly with Project Managers, Defence representatives, and site personnel Maintaining accurate records, QA documentation, and progress reports Coordinating base access, site security, and compliance with all Defence protocols What You Bring to the Team 3–5 years’ experience supervising commercial or government construction projects A solid background delivering projects on ADF bases or secure government facilities Deep understanding of WHS and Defence site operations, access, and compliance Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications with accuracy Comfortable using digital tools for reporting and documentation Must-Haves Based in Townsville – local applicants only, please Australian Citizenship (essential for Defence site access) Valid White Card (Construction Induction) Baseline Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain) Current Driver’s Licence Nice-to-Haves First Aid & CPR certifications Relevant High-Risk Work Licences (e.g., EWP, forklift) Familiarity with the Defence Estate Quality Management System (DEQMS) Trade qualification or Cert IV in Building & Construction Why Join Us? ✅ Long-term, secure projects close to home – no FIFO or remote travel Work with a respected team who values safety, structure, and professionalism Vehicle or allowance provided Opportunities to step up and grow within the business Contribute to meaningful projects that support our national defence
