About the role This role oversees the critical functions of procurement, vehicle fleet management and contract management across the organisation, delivering safe, efficient and timely goods and services to Brightwater’s operations with a focus on strategic cost saving techniques, risk mitigation and excellent customer service to Operations. This position is also responsible for negotiating and monitoring contract terms, managing appropriate tender processes, and ensuring strong governance across all procurement, fleet management and contract management functions. This position is offered on a permanent full-time basis, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer in Brightwater Care Group. To be successful in this role, you will have: Substantial experience leading and developing a procurement team in a fast-paced commercial environment. Substantial experience in successfully negotiating and managing new and existing supplier contracts and facilitating. Previous experience successfully designing and implementing a strategic procurement framework including with third party procurement providers. Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills that build successful working relationships. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of risk related to procurement, fleet management and contract management and the ability to effectively implement controls to mitigate risk. Experience in implementing Internal Audit outcomes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Solution-focused and self-motivated to improve efficiencies and outcomes, with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, demonstrating initiative for priority setting, goal achievement and time management. Excellent computer skills with sound knowledge of Microsoft applications and procurement/contract management systems including implementation of such. Aged Care/Health industry/Not for Profit related experience (desirable). Valid driver’s licence to drive in Western Australia, as defined by the WA Department of Transport (DoT) Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months.
