Role snapshot Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building impactful products, thrives in a Product Operating Model, and is eager to take full ownership of solving real user problems. You will join a cross-functional, empowered team, working side-by-side with a Product Owner / Manager and Designer to form the core product trio. Your role goes beyond coding: you will contribute to ideation, design, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing improvement of our products. We are a small team that works closely with teams across Bankwest to drive continuous improvement, innovation and customer satisfaction by using the latest technology and industry best practice. With a focus on building seamless experience, you’ll be embedded into a cross functional squad that is self-managing with end-to-end responsibility. Responsibilities Join a cross-functional, empowered team to ideate, design, implement, test, release, and improve products. Contribute to the end-to-end product lifecycle beyond coding. Collaborate with Product Owner/Manager and Designer to form the core product trio. Embed in a self-managing squad with end-to-end responsibility. What we’re looking for Possesses full-cycle engineering experience: ideation, technical design, build, testing (unit, integration, system), release, and ongoing maintenance. Are ready to execute state-of-the-art coding practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks. Are actively involved in continuous learning, experimentation and innovation while contributing to the definition and governance of our standards and best practices. Are quality-focused and take pride in delivering well-tested, robust, and maintainable software. Also, comfortable owning testing responsibilities as there is no separate QA. Mentors and supports other engineers, fostering a growth and learning mindset within the team. Embraces change and ambiguity, taking initiative in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Works well in teams and have strong collaboration skills in driving continuous improvement initiatives. Have experimental and E2E ownership mindset, deliver with minimum supervision. Tech Skills We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and MS Power Platform including Power Apps and Power Automate / Flow as well as knowledge of various modern technologies.
