Troocoo Troocoo Government are currently on the search for a driven 2nd or 3rd year University student to join a key State Government client! This position will be based out of their Nerang, QLD Office and is looking to commence ASAP for an initial 12-months. This is an Undergraduate position and sits at the P01 level, paying $31.10 to $45.74 per hour super. Please note, to be considered you must be currently enrolled in a second or third year of a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree accredited under the Washington Accord or double degree including Civil Engineering. The Role As the PO1 Student Electrical Engineer you will you will provide foundational support in the management and maintenance of Intelligent Transport Systems and Electrical (ITS&E) assets. You will be required (however not limited) to: Provide technical support on electrical engineering aspects of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), traffic signals, road lighting, and related electrical applications. Assist in investigating and analysing engineering designs and projects, applying relevant legislation, standards, and electrical engineering principles. Contribute to the planning and design of ITS, electrical, and special infrastructure projects to support delivery within scope, time, cost, and quality expectations. Support the preparation of electrical and communications system designs for ITS and related applications. Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams involved in the delivery of ITS infrastructure. Communicate effectively with stakeholders by preparing technical reports, responding to public and ministerial enquiries and providing clear written and verbal advice. Assist in applying asset management strategies, including maintenance and refurbishment planning, for ITS&E infrastructure and services. Current holder of Class C driver's license. Construction Industry Induction (White Card). Prior intern or project experience within the Transport industry would be highly desirable .
