The Shire of Mundaring is seeking a dependable and skilled Multi-Plant Operator/ Labourer to join our Maintenance team. This dual-role position involves performing general labouring duties related to road and drainage maintenance and operating a range of small to medium machinery (e.g. rollers, skid steers, mini-excavators, compactors). You will play a key role in maintaining safe, functional roads and infrastructure, with a strong focus on safety, productivity, and quality, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Key responsibilities: assist with roadside drainage work including clearing culverts, pits, and stormwater lines perform physical labour including digging, shovelling, raking, and heavy lifting carry out road surface repairs (pothole patching, asphalt reinstatement, crack sealing) set up and pack down traffic control devices (signs, cones, barriers) work safely in live traffic environments and adhere to all site safety protocols What we are looking for: experience in site preparation, roadworks, earthworks, drainage, or other civil infrastructure projects current WA HR driver’s licence White Card relevant experience operating mechanical plant equipment of low – medium operator complexity experience in road or civil maintenance, construction, or utilities strong physical fitness and stamina for outdoor manual work strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations a proactive team player with good communication skills and attention to detail What we offer: A salary of $75,393 per annum will be offered as well as a range of benefits including: nine day fortnight generous superannuation benefits (up to 17%) additional purchased leave options (up to 2 weeks) free entry to Shire aquatic facilities complimentary wellness initiatives including skin cancer screening, annual flu vaccinations, audiometric testing and ergonomic assessments For further information on this position contact Mr. Paul Shadforth, Supervisor Maintenance on 9290 6768.
