We are seeking Targeted Intervention Practitioners to join us at our headspace Inala office to effectively engage with young people, aged 12-25 years, through provision of Single Session Thinking (SST) therapeutic interventions. Make the most of every encounter to provide meaningful support and potentially resolve client concerns in a single session. In this role you will enjoy brief therapy engagements which focus on immediate needs and potential solutions for young people using collaboration, priority setting and practical strategy clear step supports. About Accoras Accoras has been delivering mental health and wellbeing services to South-East Queensland young people and families for 30 years. Accoras operates headspace Inala, in a lead agency capacity, providing early intervention and support to young people aged 12-25 years, along with assistance in promoting young peoples' wellbeing. This covers core areas including mental health, physical health (including sexual health), work and study support and alcohol and other drug services. You will: Be a degree qualified professional ( Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or a related allied health discipline) Have previous work experience working with young people in a mental health care setting Have the ability and experience to be able to deliver evidence based SST therapeutic interventions, counselling services and treatment planning, and engage family and friends in young people’s care where appropriate Have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a diverse range of people, in particular the ability to engage with young people and advocate on their behalf Show demonstrated skills in case management, conducting risk assessments, and making appropriate decisions in situations where risk to client safety is involved Current full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) is desired.
