The Café is situated at The Salvation Army Toowoomba providing Beverages and short order menu to our community and providing a relaxed space to connect. The Catering Team Leader V- Café Chef manages, organises, and oversees the preparation of food (Short -Order), serving of food and provides quality customer service. Attention to maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic, and healthy work environment is critical. Key responsibilities Cooking of Short-Order meals for service Cook short-order meals for the café Direct volunteer kitchenhands as necessary to assist in food service delivery Direct volunteers on food safety guidelines and issues to ensure safe food service Assist with writing up food orders Support to the Team - Meals delivered within the directed timeframe and appropriate customer service delivery - Clean and keep hygienic standard to kitchen and surroundings that meet food & health regulations. - Provide encouragement to team members. - Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture. -Help Coach volunteers on efficient food service Qualifications and skills (desired/required) Experience in relevant field highly desired. Relevant qualifications as required i,e.
