About the role Pupstars Daycare and Grooming in Cairns, QLD is seeking a part-time Dog Daycare Attendant to join our friendly and passionate team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent care and supervision to our four-legged clients, ensuring they have a fun and engaging experience at our daycare facility. What you'll be doing Welcoming dogs and their owners upon arrival and departure, ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out process. Monitoring and supervising dogs during playtime, facilitating group activities and socialisation, including enrichment activities to keep the dogs mentally and physically stimulated. Reception roles and duties, including making bookings, invoicing and receipting payments, responding to emails, admitting and discharging grooming dogs. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for the dogs, including cleaning, sanitising, and organising play areas. Observing and responding to dog behaviours in this environment. Assisting with basic grooming tasks, such as brushing and bathing, as needed. Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Building social media profiles by creating and posting daily content for online platforms. What we're looking for Previous experience working in a dog daycare, pet boarding, or similar animal care environment. A genuine love and passion for dogs, with the ability to read their body language and understand their needs. Strong communication skills to interact with both dogs and their owners. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 20 kg. Longevity. We are looking to employ someone that is intent and committed to be settled in this position for a minimum 12 month period. Grooming experience is an advantage, but not essential for this role.
