Your new company Hays is partnering with the Motor Accidents Insurance Board to source an outstanding Administration Officer. MAIB is dedicated to delivering exceptional service and support to individuals affected by motor vehicle accidents. This is an exciting opportunity to join their passionate team, providing quality, comprehensive administrative support to the claims management process. Your new role Based in the Launceston CBD, MAIB is an organisation that focuses on supporting Tasmanians through some of the most challenging times in their lives. As an Administration Officer, you will be responsible for providing general administrative support to Claims Officers, guided by the MAIB values of Connection, Compassion, and Commitment. You will be an essential first point-of-contact for external clients via phone and email engagement which may involve data entry, scanning, and payment processing. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing outstanding client service; Data entry, scanning and registration, payment processing, new claims processing, provider management, and word processing Assisting with paying client/provider accounts in accordance with payment procedures and liaising when required with service providers; Responding to telephone enquiries and routine correspondence from clients and service providers in accordance with claims management procedures; Relieving on reception, as required; and Provision of general office support services. What you'll need to succeed You’ll have demonstrated experience as an Administration Officer or similar, along with: Well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiation, and inter-personal skills; Strong customer service focus; Demonstrated capacity to organise, schedule, prioritise, and complete assigned tasks; Ability to work under conflicting time pressures; Strong technical skills, with high attention to detail; Proactive nature, with proven skills to work within a team environment.
