However this is an autonomous role where you develop the our talent, culture, processes and rhythms that work best from the outset. It is a requirement of the role that you have had leadership experience in a centre director capacity. Must also have tangible track record in recruitment (including casual pool management), retention, and occupancy build (and therefore gaining trust in the local community). In addition, it is an essential requirement that you have a Early Childhood in Teaching Degree or plan to enrol in an ECT degree. About the Role: As the Director of our centre, you will be instrumental in building and nurturing a dedicated team, creating a positive and enriching environment for children and families. This off-the-floor Director role is perfect for someone who thrives on engagement with children and their families, and who brings a warm, energetic, and friendly nature to their work. Key Responsibilities: Team Building: Hire, train, and develop staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team culture. This includes rostering, consciously building a casual pool, and also identifying talent. It is essential that you are a calm individual who is able to instil confidence and trust in the team. Enrolments: Managing tours, enrolments and building relationships with new families. This includes being the 'face' of the centre in terms of positive and difficult conversations. It also involves ensuring the service is sustainable and has the trust of families. In addition it involves the onboarding and processing of enrolments (CCS knowledge is strongly regarded). Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all Australian standards and regulations, including previous experience with A&R and spot visits. It also includes understanding childcare policies and ensuring the programming is met. Engagement: Actively engage with children and families to create a welcoming and nurturing environment. It also involves proactively thinking about forward planning as we grow (opening new rooms, recruitment for growth etc) Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance, promoting best practices in early childhood education. This includes overseeing the programming that the educational leader develops and providing feedback. Requirements: Qualifications: A Bachelor in Early Childhood Education (ECT) is essential (0-5yrs) Experience: Previous experience as Childcare Centre Manager, or highly skilled 2IC in Australia is essential Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Australian standards and regulations, including approved child protection training. Personality: Upbeat, friendly, warm, and energetic nature with a passion for early childhood education.
