This full-time, permanent role is based in Cairns and the Far North Queensland region. About the Role: The Project Manager will be responsible for managing a complex program of civil infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle—from design and construction to maintenance. This includes coordinating operational activities and resources to ensure successful delivery within budget, time, and quality targets. Key Responsibilities: Manage multiple civil infrastructure projects, ensuring all project outcomes meet the required standards. Apply technical knowledge and leadership to coordinate project activities and teams. Develop and manage tenders and estimates to support business objectives. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and legislative requirements. Plan, direct, and supervise project staff to foster teamwork and achieve organizational goals. Identify, engage, and manage contractors and suppliers to meet project needs. Mandatory Qualifications and Experience: Proven experience in civil construction sectors such as urban development, water/sewer infrastructure, bulk earthworks, bridge and drainage, main roads, or slope stabilisation. Demonstrated project management experience working on civil engineering projects with Tier 1 clients. Strong ability to develop and maintain project plans ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Excellent communication skills, confident in liaising with senior management and subcontractors. Technical expertise to provide advice and implement project plans effectively. Prior experience as a Project Site Engineer on reputable projects. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Experience in cost control, forecasting, and reporting. Current valid Queensland “C” class driver’s license or equivalent. Willingness to travel to various locations as required, with expenses and allowances provided.
